What or who do you wish you had in your life right now? You're limitless. People, things, go

Asked by Anonymous

I’m mostly pretty happy with my life. I wish it was a bit more stable, but for the most part I’m pretty grateful for what I have. A (relatively) good job, great coworkers, a good college program, more material goods than I deserve, a couple of really great people that I’m lucky to call my friends, and a really fantastic boyfriend who I love a heck of a lot.

But I suppose if I had to name some stuff, I’d wish for three big things:

  1. More money.
  2. A place of my own (or, a place for Joe and I).
  3. More opportunities to be creative.

You know what? NBC rocks. There, I said it.

I know it’s popular to hate them right now. But they’ve got the best shows on television. Pretty much all of the best shows on TV are on NBC. 30 Rock, The Office, Parks & Rec, SNL, Up All Night, Jimmy Fallon, Community… and I hear this whole “Smash” thing isn’t too shabby either.

At the end of the day, it’s just a TV network. There are great shows and there are awful shows (-cough-Whitney-cough-), there are good business decisions (Jimmy) and bad ones (Coco/Leno). But I think in terms of entertainment (which, lest we forget, comes before “business” in the title of their industry) NBC can’t be beat.

Also, this is great.

what kind of improv do you do? it intrigues me :)

I float around the Syracuse, NY area doing long-form improv. Basically, instead of playing “games” (a la Whose Line Is It Anyway?) we create improvised short plays. A lot of the time, they’re free-form and we just get a suggestion and do a bunch of scenes that (hopefully) end up tying together naturally in some way. Other times, we follow a format like the Harold or the Armando.

It’s pretty fun. :)
