NBC rocks. There, I said it.</p> <p>I know it’s popular to hate them right now. But they’ve got the best shows on television. Pretty much <em>all</em> of the best shows on TV are on NBC. 30 Rock, The Office, Parks & Rec, SNL, Up All Night, Jimmy Fallon, Community… and I hear this whole “Smash” thing isn’t too shabby either.</p> <p>At the end of the day, it’s just a TV network. There are great shows and there are awful shows (-cough-Whitney-cough-), there are good business decisions (Jimmy) and bad ones (Coco/Leno). Basically, instead of playing “games” (a la <em>Whose Line Is It Anyway?</em>) we create improvised short plays. A lot of the time, they’re free-form and we just get a suggestion and do a bunch of scenes that (hopefully) end up tying together naturally in some way.
