Bonnie Blumetti: What I've got.
I find myself SO often bitching about this, that, and the other thing. But never stopping and going “wow, I just got that job!” or “wow, I’ve got a dad who’ll do anything for me”. I need to stop getting so caught up in the “I don’t have…”s, the “I want”s, the the “I wish”es, because I really…
Check out this totally beautiful post from my friend Bonnie. I love this attitude. We all have so much and so many meaningful and important relationships, yet we still all find time in the day to complain about silly things like the coffee not being hot enough or the WiFi not being fast enough.
I’m not saying we shouldn’t complain, because to complain is—as Bonnie put it—human nature. I think complaining is just fine, as long as you also make time for being thankful and reflecting on the positives in your life.
And don’t act as though there are no positives in your life. You are already immensely lucky just by the virtue of the fact that you have the ability to read this. You’re literate, you have internet access and some sort of computer… be happy. At least once a day, just take a deep breath and close your eyes and be fucking happy.
