30-Second Diabetes PSA

Robert Shoykhet

This was my first project in my EMC 144 class. We had to take a script (that was assigned to us) and record, produce, and edit a 30 second PSA. Mine was about diabetes.

Turns out, “diabetes” is a really hard word to say six times in thirty seconds when you’re super focused on not pronouncing it like Wilford Brimley.

Today’s Ethics Professor fashion critique:

The long shirt he’s wearing under his black sweater is the same exact color as his skin tone. It totally makes it look like his midriff is showing. Not awesome.

I just remembered that my computer class was cancelled today. Which means my next class isn’t until 1:35. Which is four hours away. Four hours away. And I don’t even have a car right now to leave campus with. Kill meeee.

Second Class: Principles of Information Studies

This is a class about Windows. Excel. Word. OCC’s Angel system. It’s a required course for my major. It also states that I should “be ready to do college-level work, including about 6 hours of homework/reading every week”.

6 hours of homework and reading in a textbook? To learn how to use Excel? Fuck my life.

Prediction: Least favorite class.

You know one thing I forgot about and totally didn’t miss?

Browsing Tumblr in a class and having to scroll slowly and carefully to make sure nothing inappropriate comes up.

Note to self: Next time, maybe sit farther back… or all the way back… hmmmmm
