I can’t believe people are judging Lana Del Rey based on one performance on SNL—which to be completely honest, wasn’t even that bad.

Here’s her on Jools Holland a few months ago. This was her television debut, and she fucking killed it. She’s got a unique voice and she knows how to use it.

So she got nervous when she set foot on one of the most famous stages in the world. Do you know how many people watch SNL every week? I’d be freaking out too… and I doubt I would have sounded even a hundredth as good as Lana did.

The girl’s got an amazing, unique voice and a style and image that we haven’t seen the equivalent of in decades. Give her a second chance.
