=O
i really, really need to find this!
I'm Robert, and this is my blog. I'm 20, and I live just outside of Syracuse, NY, where I like to engage in such awesome activities as improv, tea drinking, and listening to amazing, mind-blowing music. I also tend to be a little bit obnoxious, but people deal with me anyway.
If you have any questions, you can ask me right here.

I don’t post depressing posts. I’m not really depressed that often. I live a relatively optimistic/realistic life. What happens, happens. Y’know?
But I guess there are some situations where I have to put that aside and speak my mind, or at least let my friends and followers know what’s going on in my life, especially if it’s something that may affect my activity on Tumblr or how I act around you in real life.
My great-grandfather died today at the age of 86.
He’s been sick for a while. Here’s the story: He broke his leg last year, and after a lot of medication and a lot of stress and a lot of different treatments, he became a totally different person.
Last Wednesday, he was brought into the hospital for what appeared to be a stroke. It seemed like just a one-time thing, and everyone was pretty sure that he’d pull through.
But the cat-scan revealed a few things we didn’t know. Namely the fact that it wasn’t a stroke at all. In his brain was a pretty sizable tumor. And none of us even knew. He could have gone a year with that thing growing in his brain, and no one would even have bothered to check. He had the symptoms: memory loss, mood swings, headaches… but all of those were just attributed either to the medication for his broken leg or his old age.
Well, this morning my mom saw him, and he was pretty stable. He smiled, talked to her, ate his food, he was doing well.
But tonight, in a matter of 40 minutes, he died. I was at the hospital with my mom, dad, grandma (his daughter), and his girlfriend (they’ve been together for 12 years, they’re basically married, just not officially.) I’ve never seen my grandma cry like that. It was a tough, tough time.
The next few days are going to be really rollercoastery. We don’t know when we’re having the funeral or anything like that yet, so a lot is still up in the air.
I know you probably don’t really care about any of this, but I figured it’d be easier to just tell Tumblr than to tell you all individually. So, that’s was my evening. I’m sorry to all of you for depressing you with this kind of thing, like I said, I try never to do this. But sometimes, life just gets the best of you.
Much love.
