On the subject of LOST.

  • Robert: I'm thinking of re-watching Lost.
  • Elvis: I'm thinking of making Bonnie watch Lost as I re-watch it.
  • Robert: I want to make Joe watch it, but he doesn't want to either!
  • Elvis: Ugh. Women. Right?
  • Robert: RIGHT?

Unanswered LOST Questions

Despite all of the unanswered questions—especially all those concerning super-psychic bird-killer Walt—Lost was still the best written and most well-though-out drama on television for the last six years. And that’s pretty unarguable if you’ve seen the whole show.

LOST: Finale.

I’m legit the only person on earth who didn’t see the finale. This kills me. I’ve already heard a ton of spoilers. I should have seen this coming.

Hulu better hurry its ass up.

With Lost ending tonight, it would be a sin for me not to reblog this.

Day 3: Your Favorite TV Show.

This one was too hard, so I cheated and I’m calling it a 3-way tie.

Arrested Development was the funniest, smartest, and most detail-oriented sitcom ever. The characters were all brilliant and the dialogue (and narration) were all sharp as hell. It’s too bad it got cancelled, but the writers managed to wrap it up really nicely without feeling forced after three seasons. Perhaps it’s for the best.

30 Rock is the second coming of Arrested Development. It’s just as brilliantly written, and although the comedy style is way different (not just from Arrested, but really from anything else on television) it still manages to feel familiar. It’s the smartest and funniest show on television right now, and although The Office sometimes comes close, it’s really leagues ahead of everything else on TV.

Finally, Lost. Do I even need to explain this? It’s the best-written drama on television. Not only that, but it’s in many ways a bit of a success story too. Think about it: It’s a show about a bunch of castaways lost on a magic island, and the show explores every different medium of time-travel, references tons of hardly-known science fiction works, tackles tough philosophical and religious issues, and manages to work in brilliant dialogue and the best character development we’ve ever seen in a television show. It’s a no-brainer.
